Advertising a run-down Motel as a Backpackers

I booked a Backpackers in Bloemfontein on Sleeping-Out. The place is called El Shaddai. Without reading the reviews. Once I paid the deposit I read the reviews. It was a most appalling place to stay. Now yes I did mess-up for not reading the reviews.

But how can Sleeping-Out advertise such a dirty unlivable establishment as a place to stay! This place gives all Backpackers in South Africa a bad name. The culture of Backpackers is an affordable simple place to stay with friendly and safe interaction with other guests. It is definitely not the most cheapest dirtest place!!!!!

And I blame Sleeping-Out for their lack of quality control. People need to feel safe when travelling the country!

Hello leilaveera,

We are very sorry you were unhappy with this accommodation. However the cost was R180 per night for a self catering, 2-Bedroom Chalet, equipped with linen, towels, cutlery, microwave etc plus DSTV and a solar heated swimming pool. This is very economical pricing. It is advertised as a farm like environment \close to nature\".
