Defective Mattress

I purchased a bed from sleep king 6 years back the mattress has a 20 year warranty. we was advised by the salesmen that the bed was a top end bed crystal pocket and we was advised by the salesman from sleep king that the bed comes with a 1 year guarantee and 20 year factory warranty and if we have any problems with the bed the factory warranty will cover it now that i am having issues with the mattress and i have taken the matter to sleep king the supplier has phoned us and said if we need the bed to be sorted out we need to pay they advised us that the warranty is a pay warranty we have to pay to have it fixed so according to my knowledge warranty means that the bed should be fixed at they cost i dont want a new bed i want the bed fixed. company doesnt want to honour they warranty but they have signs on the bed stating 20 year warranty. the company advised me that they company policy is that the customer pays for the repairs on a warranty product so they need to tell me why the bed has a 20 year warranty if the customers need to pay for repairs
