Cancelation of Gym membership

I tried to cancel my Gym membership in December 2017 due to relocation and moving to new town.i tried again in February 2018 I was told system is down,I went in March I had to go and write new affidavit.I tried again this week August 5 2018.i was told system is down.I can't seem to cancel.this contract.Gym membership are **** trying to get you to be stuck in financial crisis.
