STILL WAITING FOR REFUND - 55 WORKING DAYS LATER!!
I purchased tickets from CPT to JNB for the 5th Nov through Skywise. In July I received an email from Skywise to say that they are delaying the flight by 20 mins. We have a connecting International flight, and taking into account any delays, 20 mins was too much of a risk - so we had to cancel the booking.

I first requested cancellation and a refund on the 27th of July - this was agreed via telephone and I was told I would have to wait 21 working days - perfect! 21 working days was up and I hadnt received my money, so I contacted skywise, who had no record of this cancellation and we had to start the process all over again - I sent all documents to Nada who promised she would process the refund and I would get my money within 21 working days (was last week Friday) I have still not received my money. I contacted the call centre and they handed my complaint to Nqobile Twala who also requested some more info - because the refund HADNT BEEN PROCESSED!!! and told me she would expedite the request and I would receive the money during the course of this week - I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED IT - 55 WORKING DAYS LATER!!!

RATHER PAY THE EXTRA COUPLE HUNDRED AND FLY WITH A REPUTABLE AIRLINE!
We would like to confirm that your refund has been paid.
We also would like to clarify the reason behind the delay; Firstly your refund did not met the criteria (please check our online T's & C's), secondly senior management declined the refund since it did not meet the criteria.
The refunds department believed you deserved a refund and escalated the matter further until the refund was approved.
We are happy that you refund was eventually paid although it did not meet the refund criteria. Another example of going an extra mile.
Regards,
Skywise
