****** valuables!!!!!

I recently used Skynet services to courier my goods from Cape Town to Johannesburg. I was very pleased with the service recived. They collected and delivered my goods on time as promised. When my goods arrived, I noted a few of the boxes was damaged. At the time, I thought this was purely due to the volume of boxes and thought nothing thereof. After unpacking all of my boxes, I noted quite a few of my things to be missing. I called the call centre the next day to report the incident. They then referred me to Ana (not sure what her surname is). She has been giving me the run around for almost 3 weeks, which I think is completely unacceptable!!! I demand a answer and for my claim to be processed as soon as possible. I queried whether there was someone else I copuld speak to but I was told they not allowed to give out their information. I think this is ridiculous - how a m I suppose to find out whats going on I no one wants to help me or put me in contact with the right people?? Plesae assist!!!

Hi

Since my intial post above, nothing has been resolved. I've been getting the run around. For the past two weeks I've been dealing with Ronald who was suppose to provide me with the final report and process my claim. This is ridiculous !!!!!!!!!!! My things were ******, all I ask is for you guys to do your job and process my claim? Why is it taking this long? I took out insurance on my goods so I'm covered, what the hell is going on? I demand a response and for my claim to processed!!!!!!!!

Hello Kaylen,

You shipped 7 boxes with us. We collected 7 and delivered 7. Your goods were delivered and signed for with no endorsments, meaning all was delivered in good order and condition.

Our Insurance does not cover second hand goods. This has been explained to you.

You reported that a few things were missing yet cannot provide us with an invoice for the items you are claiming for.

You have sent us an invoice for R20 000 which consists of all of your items, not just what you suspect is missing, yet no proof of purchase. Without proof of the purchase stipulating the value, your claim will not be accepted by our insurers.

Your claim can only be submitted if you can provide us with the slips when the goods were bought.

Regards

Skynet SA

Hi

Yes I confirm, I received all 7 of my boxes. At first glance it looked as if all my items were there only after unpacking all the boxes, I noticed quite a few things were missing. My goods are not second hand it is clothes, shoes and bedding I purchased over the years. Can you honestly tell me you have a slips of all the things you bought in the past year? I will gladly go to the police and get an affidavit for my goods.

Wrt the value - before using your company I did research on your which showed that there were not many incidents of clients reporting their things missing. However, there is always a risk. The chances of all my boxes being lost or ****** were highly unlikely and remote. Based on that, I made a judgement call that there is always a possiblity of people *****ing my things and based on that percentage of risk. I valued it to be worth R20000. No where on my order did I stipulate that R20k is the total value of my goods being shipped!!!!!! I said that is how much I wish to insure them for based on the fact that the chances of theft is unlikely. The list I sent you is what was ****** not what I suspect was ******.

What exactly am I suppose to do? Just leave it and accept that even though I ve insured my goods. I must just accept that I will not be reimbursed?
