Lesson: check if the courier is Skynet and if so - order from somewhere else
So, those Christmas presents never arrived - thanks Skynet. It's an awesome time of year for you to have zero customer service operating. From now on I will check to see if an online store is using Skynet for delivery, and if they are I will know not to order from them.
I tried both the customer service 087 numbers I could find - no-one answers the actual call and when you dial "0" there isn't actually a message option, it just beeps and cuts off. I guess you have too many other customers leaving disgruntled messages. The landlines in Bloem and PE also don't work, and there's no option to discuss a concern on your Facebook page.
I contacted the company I ordered from and they could only say they would "try to put some pressure on to get my parcel on the way"... what a joke - they clearly know that they cannot count on Skynet to get their goods to customers.
I can see on the tracking page that there was a supposed delivery - but the funny thing is, I sit where I can see our front gate as I work from home, I receive multiple orders per week, all anyone has to do is toot or call and I go to the gate to see if it's for me or a neighbour... Yet somehow for Skynet "the consignee was unavailable". Really? The best part is that I did not receive a follow-up message or mail to say there had been an attempt to deliver - so I didn't know until a week after this supposed delivery when I went online to check!!!
That's when I tried getting hold of someone to discuss a second delivery - which by the way, has never even been attempted.
