goodbye skynet

so the company i work for utilises skynets delivery service in South Africa, Ladysmith. usually its a weekly service provided where skynet would courier a parcel for us from Pretoria to Ladysmith. at first it seemed ok, then after a few weeks we ran into our first major glitch.

skynet was told to retirieve a parcel for me, as they always do at the same address all the time, however they did not collect. they gave a bogus explanation of the address being incorrect, and then the apparently the company was closed. this was untrue. the pick-up address assured me they where not closed and skynet had not come forth. i was unaware that my parcel was not collected. my business was expecting the parcel in order to resume work...

skynet had automatically reshedualed the pickup for the next day, i was only informed of this in the latter part of the morning. this affected my business greatly. we had customers relying on us for that day and where unable to deliver. however i recieved a mail from a lady in the Pretoria branch stating that my parcel was yet again not collected due to incorrect address. my address was correct! i verified it time and time again. we had been using that address since febuary without any problems.

i was apauled and my job was on the line. amazingly the parcel pitched up at work the next morning, no one knows what happened. the lady in the ladysmith branch, whom i deal with was unable to asssist me either.

second problem, i had iasked skynet for anothe parcel, same address. i specifically asked for the parcel to be dropped off as early as possible because once again we have customers relying on us. the parcel did not arrive util 11.15am, waising 3 hours of the day, making our time crunch impossible. ladysmith branch did not know where the parcel was and was unable to assist me...

i will never use skynet again nor do i reccommend it to businesses. i have sought out alternative options even though slightly more costly, yet efficient.
