Don't deliver on time, nor consider business hours, nor provide any communication to client
Still waiting to receive an urgent parcel containing my license disk paid for through FNB. SMS sent 09:10 parcel is on its way. 17:50 (almost 2 hours after business has closed) they say 'Parcel not delivered because business is closed'. I call them the next day, 45 callers ahead of you, I 'pressed One' to be called back. Never happened. Currently calling them as it's urgent, after waiting 15 minutes someone picks up only to not speak to me at all but have a whole other conversation with their people in the background. I screenrecorded this portion. Then they put my call down. Now I'm calling again, back of the queue. They are absolutely disgusting with their service and will not recommend them, nor purchasing your license disk through FNB.
After they notified me at 09:10 my parcel is on its way, I became concerned, hence placing the call at 12:21.
The next day it said on the system: parcel not delivered at 17:50 office is closed. Standard office hours in South Africa are 08:00-16:30.
Friday (25/04/2025) I waited all day to hear, no communication received.
Tuesday (29/04/2025) I place a call to Skynet at 08:02. After 35 minutes someone answers and continues to not speak to me, but address her colleagues in the background, completely ignoring me and proceeds to end the call at 8:37.
8:40 I placed a call again, call gets cut.
I then decided to try FNB even though advisor Tsholofelo told me (FNB Secure Chat):
“Miss Kwanglee, I trust that you are well. Kindly contact our disc and license renewal department on for assistance on ***. Operating Hours: 08:00-17:00 Mon - Fri. Due to limited access on the system on our side we are unable to assist.”
I call that number provided, call lasted 23 minutes. They tell me they’re unable to help, but that I should use Secure Chat?! After expressing my frustration, they tell me they’ll stay on the line as I contact an advisor.
I try again. This time connected to advisor Zama, who says:
“Kindly note that you need to follow up with service department. You need to contact our service desk on ***.”
She proceeds,
“My apologies for the inconvenience this may have caused ,pleaes note that complaints desk is not available on secure chat.”
After being unsuccessful, I make another attempt, this time getting placed with advisor Nolunthando. Provides a link to click saying ‘Nav Car’ which tells me (I have a screenshot of this): “System Currently Unavailable. For assistance, please contact ***”
After an unsuccessful attempt, Nolunthando responds:
“Apologies about the experience, I will transfer you to Digital banking so that they can assist with delivery arrangements, is there anything else before I transfer you?”
I was then transferred to Kabelo, who said they cannot help, then finally a fourth advisor called Katlego who finally said:
“Kindly be advised this has been escalated to Skynet and I am awaiting feedback, once I have this, I will ensure to send you an email before end of business today”
I asked for an URGENT delivery multiple times throughout all these interactions.
I called Skynet at 14:54 as COB was approaching and still I had received nothing. After being in the queue (call lasted 24 minutes) they told me the system was OFFLINE and told me to call them back later.
They had the audacity to tell ME to call THEM back for their system failure? After all the money I spent buying airtime to get through to them? In an annoyed tone after I said he had quite the nerve to ask that of me after all I’ve been through with their company, he took down my number and tracking number and said he’ll get back to me. I don’t believe him.
At 16:34 I receive an email from ***:
“Good afternoon, Danielle
I trust this email finds you well.
Kindly be advised that I have feedback from Skynet and that they will attempt to deliver the disk again in the next 2-3 day.
I do apologies for the inconvenienced caused
I have attached the waybill below to track with Skynet
***
Kind regards”
2-3 days is UNACCEPTABLE. I will be strongly discouraging any future customers of FNB to use external services they “offer”.
