DESTROYERS OF THE ECONOMY

Our business is based in Hoedspruit, an outlying area, and prides itself in excellent service. The service has allowed our small business to grow rapidly, create employment, and grow the local economy.

Skynet requires bookings to be made by 1200pm to be able to collect the same day. If we meet the deadline, the goods would be delivered in Hoedspruit the next business day.

In the last few weeks they have failed to collect bookings on multiple occasions, failed to collect the next day and are now taking up to a week to deliver what used to take 2 business days.

I spend many hours a week chasing Skynet. Their regional operations supervisors are never available by phone, don't bother returning or responding to emails, and the junior staff are continually hounded by my, out of character, being a *****. Clients may see my business as the cause of the problem. However, I keep them updated whenever there are delays. I need to manage my business, train my staff, check quotations, order stock, visit clients. The repeated failures by Skynet are not unique to their company, but they are one of the few companies that are able to offer this vital link to continue growing my business. We have tried other courier companies unsuccessfully.

Senior Skynet management at the Gautengg hub/operations centre are not contactable through their very helpful, patient and polite receptionist/telephonist.

We have remained a loyal client but they are going to lose a client very soon.
