Definitely not EXPRESS

I renewed my car license via the e-Natis website last week Sunday. To my surprise, I received a sms on Monday morning, to say that the license was on its way to me via Skynet Express, which means that I processed the renewal on a weekend and it was printed and dispatched on the same weekend. Today is Friday the 4th of August and I have yet to receive my license from Skynet. When I didn't receive it by Tuesday, I phoned Skynet and asked when it would be delivered and I was told it was scheduled for yesterday the 3rd of August. Well I still have not received my car license. When it got later in the day yesterday, I called again and was told how busy they are and they would "try for for tomorrow", being today now, the 4th of August. Well it is after well after 7:00am and I have yet to receive a message to say that my parcel is out for delivery today, or it has been loaded on to the truck or any manner of communication for Skynet. So I'm not holding my breath to receive it today...Skynet do you realize that you are being paid to deliver VERY IMPORTANT documents and considering the ***** and identity theft happening in this country, EVERY DAY, these are not documents that can just be left lying around to get lost. Furthermore I have paid to get the document delivered. YES, I HAVE PAID. Get off your bums and deliver my parcel, TODAY!!!!

I just called the call center now. The lady can't tell me why my parcel has not been delivered, but she "will call the depot and make arrangements for delivery". What arrangements? You're a courier company, supposed to deliver parcels as per your SLA. I told the call centre lady that if my parcel is not delivered by 4pm today, I will lay a charge of theft against Skynet for theft of a motor vehicle license. Watch this space!

"Soon" mean nothing to me. It will be delivered today before 4:00pm, even if the CEO has to get in his own car and bring it to me!!! Failing which I will be visiting a police station. HAVE I MADE MYSELF CLEAR yet?

So finally I received my parcel from Skynet. My car license disc. On Monday morning I was told how my disc could not be found. They had misplaced the parcel, and would ask the RTMC for a reprint. The gall! These people clearly are not aware of the number plate cloning and identity crime in SA. They most certainly do not treat their parcels with the necessary care. There was one shining light in this debacle however. Mabore, the only person at Skynet who seems to give a hoot about her customers. Although she was not telling me what I wanted to hear, she at least bothered to keep me in the loop as to what was happening. Mabore, I hope they pay you what you are worth! Unfortunately though I will never order my disc online through the RTMC again, as long as they continue using Skynet, and I will most definitely not recommend this sad excuse for a courier company to anyone!
