***** between Agoda & Sky Hotel

Hello anybody who cares, On Sunday,12th January this year, I was a victim of a *****ulent transaction. My debit card which I recently received was used for a reservation at the Hotel Sky in Sandton, Johannesburg. The amount was R1,906.80. My bank had messaged me to say that this transaction was between Agoda and Sky Hotel in Sandton. The following day, I contacted the hotel &eventually got hold of someone senior. Now I had never booked at this hotel. I knew nothing about this business. So I would assume that someone had managed to give my card number &possibly the 3 digit security code on the back of the card to Agoda who processed the transaction. I have my debit card &am very conscious of fiddles,etc. which goes on. Where this person got these details Heaven only knows. Now there is no communication from the hotel & I guess 'they' just want to forget about it. Ì did manage to report this to the MD but nothing meaningful is happening. So I guess the powers to be there don't care. So be careful out there guys & guesses, we are living in very ***** times.
