SKILLSNEW / DEVELOPCORE **** / *****

I signed up with Developcore / SkillsNew in May 2024 for SETA funding assistance and was paying monthly for a year. I actually decided to cancel after 9 months of being a subscriber, due to a lack of service, support and communication. However, they told me I cannot cancel because I signed up for a 12 months contract. I waited 12 months and then cancelled the service. I paid R999 per month over the 12 month period, totaling R12k with absolutely no outcome!!!

This is not all. After cancelling my service, they still deducted off my card 2 installments of R999, which Ive asked them to refund. So in total I have given them about R14k. I could not reverse these 2 installments personally, because they were not debit orders, but Payfast Debit card payments. When I called Payfast about this, they just told me there's nothing they can do and that I needed to contact their client, SkillsNew. The problem is their phone number as per their website is not working; they do not respond to my emails. I ended up getting a WhatsApp number but even this communication platform has me on hold.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! I AM YET TO RECEIVE A REFUND FOR THE EXTRA 2 MONTHS. I had to cancel my debit card so that the unauthorised monthly payment does not go off my account again. Its been a HORRIBLE NIGHTMARE TO SAY THE LEAST!!!!
