Disappointed with Skechers

Purchased a pair of dock style shoes about over a year and half ago. The quality of the shoe is terrible. The shoe was hardly used. The stiching on the shoes is till white. The leather on the shoe started peeling off. It first started at the lip then it spread through out the shoe. Went to skechers in Clear water mall and they said they cant help me without proof of receipt. I do not have the receipt as i purchased the shoes over a year and half ago from the gateway branch in Durban. So my wife cannot use the shoe as it is in a tereible condition. Really dissappointed and disgusted with the quality of shoes that skechers is providing to the public and shocked with the level of customer service as they say they cannot help me
