comfortable shoe bad quality finish

Due to back issues the Skechers shoes offer the most comfort. Each time I buy the quality of the soles seems consistent but inner soles and shoe stitching not so much. Last year I bought 3 pairs, 2 slip on and one go run. The inner soles on slip on deteriorated in 3 months. So one pair returned, one degraded outside warranty and the third pair the stitching and joins on the light weight sneakers has degraded. After searching online I bought 2 pairs last week from Kingsmead. They arrived this week and I wore one pair yesterday and another today. One is Skechers air, one is light weight. Stiching out the box is poor. Soles are usual consitent quality. And inner soles... cannot see they will make 8 months. This is not a case of "hard wearing".I cannot run, I cannot play sports, so the shoes get used for walking. Mass production and poor final finish. Maybe I am too pedantic but between Hi Tec, Adidas, Caterpillar, Puma and Asics, Reebok, the Skechers are most comfortable yet most "cheaply" finished.....lol and at 950 plus per pair not cheap. I dont like driving hence online purchases, and having 2 new pairs, one pair that's 11 months and one that 14 months, I cannot see a solution on the stitching and joins at the top of shoe. Is this a case of comfort coming at a cost of lifespan ie the shoes are not designed to last more than 6 months?
