After Job Completion No Service

On the 29 August 2016 we contracted SKB Waterproofers + Painters to do repairs to our holiday home in Margate. We paid R100730.00 for the entire job. The final payment was done on the 22 November 2016. A few days after the completion of the work, we were notified that the railings had rust coming through and the garage doors was bubbling and peeling. We contacted Mr Kevin Oxenham several times by phone, Whatsapp and email. He promised several times that he will came and repair the faults and never showed up. In November of 2016 & April of 2017 we went down to Margate from Pretoria at huge cost to us, scheduled an appointment with Mr Kevin Oxenham to came and repair the faults to no avail. In October of 2017 we decided we can’t wait any longer and repaired the garage doors ourselves at a huge cost to us. Up to date we have not heard from Mr Kevin Oxenham once in a whole year. Despite the promise of a 5 year guarantee on paintwork almost a year and no faults have been repaired by SKB Waterproofers + Painters. We were also shocked to find out that although we contracted SKB Waterproofers + Painters for the work, they sourced out the work to various other contractors. We are very disappointed by the service and workmanship. We are unsure if the Plascon products used is the cause of the faults or if it is poor preparation and workmanship.
