YEAR OLD QUERY, EMPTY PROMISES

On the 30th of March I complained about non-existent service regarding a YEAR OLD claim. *** - 4015). My mom is going for her ONE YEAR CANCER checkup this month and needs the claim resolved by the 17th, or she won’t be admitted. On the 31st of March I was told they would get back to me. As usual. Today is 10 April. Not a single word from SIZWE HOSMED. We have since changed medical aids. Because cancer is enough to deal with without ZERO support from a medical aid that WE have been paying for YEARS to render us a service when we eventually need it. My advice to anyone even thinking about joining SIZWE HOSMED: Go to a government hospital to have your brain examined. You will get better treatment there. It takes a lot to upset me, but over the last 2 years, this medical aid has had me in tears on several occasions. It’s really not worth it when you are already dealing with illness. It is clear to me why they are in the financial situation that they are in and there is a total apathy towards service delivery amongst the workforce. It saddens me that they are in a position to really make a difference during a traumatic situation, but that they just don’t care enough.
