Unreliable, useless, money making medical skeem Sizwe medical

I am writing this as a formal complain to Sizwe Medical of which the below took place.

I joined the medical through my partner and they called me personally where i was able to ask questions regarding my pregnancy as me and my partner were planning on the pregnancy, which they validated that both me and the baby will be covered and pay costs of all delivery though any hospitalisation.

On the 3rd of June 2020 I woke up not feeling well and later went to Wisani private clinic ,they checked my Bp which was at 273 which shocked the GP as this was beyond what a pregnant women should have, they tried by all means to help how they could to keep me and the baby alive at that time the clinic was calling the ambulance to come collect me to take me to Akasia hospital, of which at Akasia they contacted Sizwe medical Aid and Sizwe medical aid informed Akasia hospital that they only work with life hospital they also stated that they will pay for the Ambulance that took me from Wisani to Akasia Hospital . At that time, it was a life and death matter.

I then took the initiative to search for a life care hospitals around where I was, which lead me to finding the Life Eugene Marais hospital, I transported myself to life hospital , when I arrived I was relieved that finally my pain and hurt will be resolve and my life plus the baby will be in good health.

Sizwe medical Aid was then contacted to be informed that I am at Eugene hospital and was told they will deliver the baby However I would need to take out R5500 upfront of which I agreed, while waiting for approval blood test were taken as they were authorised to take the blood test by Size medical aid. The results came back and was informed that I am in a very bad condition and needed surgery which I was preparing for.

The doctor was informed that Sizwe medical aid did not know of my pregnancy which led to me being admitted at Dr George Mogare Hospital that led to my unborn child death as it was too late when I was finally assisted.

All I want to know is how did Sizwe medical aid not know of my pregnancy while they authorise my gyn to assist me during pregnancy including scans that were paid for by Sizwe medical aid, during the early stage of my pregnancy I contacted them to notify them which they told me they have a special bag pack for me that is filled with pregnancy baby goodies and two week after losing the baby the bag was delivered as promised.

What surprises me the most even their life care hospital they never paid which now I am liable for payment when I could have been informed from the beginning, I would have gone to a public hospital to avoid these charges and the trauma that came with it. and to put it out there I lost the baby and never missed a premium when I was with them hoping they would be there for me but all they left me was unpaid hospital bills and baby stuff for a baby I do not have.

I want this matter resolve and for everyone to feel my pain and hurt through the experience Size medical Aid put me through, and I do not want the same experience I went through to be done to someone else.
