Threatened with being handed over for claim that was supposed to be paid

I've just received a letter from Ampath (Drs Du Buisson, Kramer, Swart, Bouwer Inc.) threatening me with being handed over for an unpaid claim dating back to December 2025. They say they have received no response from my medical aid. Sizwe says that the claim was paid on 8 January 2026 (call ***) but to date, no payment was actually received by the provider. This is not even the only claim with which I'm experiencing this issue and Sizwe Hosmed does not provide members with remittance advices anymore, we are told to ask the provider to call for proof of payment. As someone who takes pride in paying my bills on time, Sizwe Hosmed is putting me in the position of being handed over to a debt collector. I pay my contributions every month without fail, even though the service is abysmal and this is the thanks I get.
