Termination of medical aid

I have been with Sizwe medical aid since 2007, last year i was on maternity leave and my husband got retrenched so i skipped a payment. i carried on paying every month after that, thinking my medical aid had been suspended, i phoned them when i returned to work from maternity to make arrangements to be advised that they had terminated my medical 3 months ago, without ANY notification, when i asked about my the payments i had made after the termination they said i would be refunded. This morning i call them again, to ask about the refund as i need to find another medical aid, i get told by the credit controller that she was on leave and only got back today and she doesn't know who i spoke to but refunds are a process and i now have to send a letter \terminating"my medical aid"
