SIZWE - SOMEONE HEALTH IS SUFFERING DUE TO YOUR DELAY

Really disappointed.... A medical aid has all the power to make sure you receive medical treatment or not... and your health suffers.

We have been struggling with Sizwe for 4 weeks to get authorization to allow my Mom to get her treatment in hospital. She received the treatment last year as well... EVERY 8 weeks and every time it is hospital time it is a problem to get authorization for her drip or a phone call from hospital that Sizwe has not paid the bill...

My mom has CIPD... In other words Guilliam Bare that is being kept under control with 8 weeks treatment. Her last drip she had allergic reaction therefore prompting for a different drug to help keep her walking... She starts losing feeling in her feet, then calves, then legs..... and so it goes. With the medicine it keeps it under control that she can walk.

Now for the last 4 WEEKS we have phoned, followed up, gone from hospital authorization to chronic department to authorize her medicine to be able to get her to hospital to get her treatment.... She is 4 WEEKS overdue for this treatment and the loss of feeling is already at her hips, walking with a aid....

20 June - only received the request and emails with all supporting docs on 18th June Please phone back after 3 working days to get authorization. At the head pharmacist for approval 25 June - no approval yet still at the head of pharmacy for approval 26 June - no approval yet all supporting docs have been sent to the Sizwe doctor for approval

NOW my question to anyone working at Sizwe in charge.... if it was ONE of your family members that had such a request for treatment just laying on someone desk... How would you feel seeing your mom or dad needing the treatment and after each phone call getting the answers we do....

Every month we pay the premium... we don't wait, send from family to family member to discuss and decide are we going to pay....

I know every company has a procedure to follow.... BUT really if you can see the treatment is needed for patient, ANY TREATMENT needed would you not make it matter of urgency..

I AM ASKING YOU TO PLEASE MAKE THIS MATTER OF URGENCY
