Sizwe Hosmed Is a dssappointing medical scheme
Terrible service from Sizwe Hosmed. I have been with Sizwe Hosmed for over a year now & everything has been going well, until I started receiving outstanding payment from Doctors that were supposed to be paid by the medical aid. The most painful thing, is finding when you need medical consultation from my doctor & they make you aware that they have not received any payment from the medical aid since your last visit. This is very aggravating since I pay for the medical at my own cost. They continue to debit me every month, with no delay or issues with the debits, for a medical aid that I am not even fully taking advantage of the benefits except for going to consult a doctor. When I call the call center I am told they have a backlog in paying doctors (funny thing is, they do not have a backlog when it comes to debiting my account every month) & there is a turn around time of one month before any doctor is paid. It has been more than a month & no doctor has been paid. This is not convincing me to stay with the medical scheme, as I am looking for better service elsewhere.

10 Dec 2022, 15:04I hope the turnaround time for Sizwe to be in contact will not be as long as the payment of doctors. While I am waiting for someone to be in contact from Sizwe, I am receiving emails from doctors who have not received their payment. Why do I even bother to continue the cover with Sizwe when they will not even pay for doctor's consultations? They are demanding that I settle the outstanding amounts out of my own pocket.
