NON PAYMENT FOR AUTHORIZATION PROCEDURE

<p>We had a hospital incident on the 16 December where my son had to go for a CT scan. In January we received an Account from Diagnostic Radio-logical Services that wasn't paid due to the fact that there was no Pre-authorization number. The Account received had obtained AUTHORIZATION for this procedure which is stated on the Statement from Diagnostic Radio-logical Services. Since the 08 January I have contacted Sizwe Medical Fund on numerous occasions and on every since instance I was told that they will print out the account and take it to the claims department of processing. Whatever that means!!! We pay in access of R12 000 per month for our medical aid and the fact that they can not resolve a R2456 account is ridiculous!! We have also made some additional sums. We have been members of Sizwe for the past 12 years and have had minimal claims in those years. You have sucked an average amount of R1 152 000 (yes MILLION) from us in the last 12 years and can not even resolve this issue! I can assure you that should we have more issues with Sizwe we will have to consider looking elsewhere for a Medical Aid that provides a service.</p> <p><br /> </p> <p>Furthermore to this we have received a Denis Account and additional doctors account that hasn't been paid in full. I NEED TO ASK WHAT THE HELL ARE WE PAYING FOR?????</p> <p><br /> The last person that I spoke to was Kgomotso Maunya and she said the supervisor Lidia Dengo will get the account authorized for payment.</p>
