My father died in September last year. They were both members of Sizwe. His pension fund paid the med aid premiums. Then in 2018, they began deducting premiums from both the pension fund and my moms personal account. She has contacted them at least 10 times. At first, they refused to accept their error. Finally, when pressed, they agreed they had deducted double premuims and promised to correct this. That was in late January. To date, they have deducted two more double premuims and my mom has no blocked them at her bank. Her attorney has contacted Sizwe and still nothing. I am going to lay charges of ***** and theft against them this week coming. How many people are they doing this to during moments of great loss and financial insecurity?
