I visited the Optician (Toga Optician) at Cresta Mall this Morning whilst the Optometrist was examining my eyes she asked her Assistant to get Authorization.

The Assistant was advised by Sizwe Medical Aid Fund that the Membership number does not exist . I have been with Sizwe for a number of years . and also i have in the past year visited my GP no problems.

My question is my subscriptions are deducted faithfully the 1st of every Month if the Membership number cannot be found on their System Then where is the funds (which is hefty ) being paid into THIS IS CONCERNING .

Least to say this was VERY EMBARRASING to say the least.

I eventually had to leave without my Specs which is desperately needed.

Should i need EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE are they also going to advise that the Membership Number which IS ISSUED BY THEM not be FOUND.

This is Pathetic
