Declined my child for a medical procedure

***<br> <br> My daughter is born on the 23 March 2010, she is 5years 5 months old. The tooth that needs to be removed is in fact two milk teeth that has fused into one big tooth. <br> <br> Tooth Fusion is when two tooth buds fuse together to make one large wide crown. The fused tooth will have two independent pulp chambers and root canals. The fusion will start at the top of the crown and travel possibly to the apex of the root.<br> <br> Her new tooth has already pushed through so she is currently sitting with two rows of teeth. <br> The dentist Dr Volschenk tried to pull the tooth in the rooms and he was unable too. Their doctors room don't have happy gas or the facilities to put my child under at their rooms. <br> <br> Their response: <br> Your request for funding of treatment for LILLY-ANN GRIFFIN has been reviewed. We regret that funding has been declined due to the following:<br> o Benefit is only available for extensive dental treatment in hospital for children under the age of 5 years.<br> o Subject to pre-authorisation, benefit for this treatment will be considered under conscious sedation <br> <br> This is a child for goodness sakes, that's only 5 months too old how can you not make an acception
