Lying Building Contractor

The contractor was found on BARK.com. A few people reviewed the company and said it did a good job and got a good rating. I decided to persue the owner (John) of the company. He was very prompt and always on time for meetings. After signing the contract we paid a 70% deposit to start the project. It went very well for the first month or so and then everything went downhill from there. The amount of excuses that arised was astonishing. From broken bakkies, workers don't have transport, workers get paid for transport but take the monies for themselves, workers arrive with no tools, ************* suppliers not delivering on time, the list goes on. What should have been a 2 month building project has now been 9 months and still counting. There are so many things that still needs to be done which I had to pay out of my own pocket that was paid for already by me to John. We have tried numerous times to make contact with him and he either blocks your number or decides when to answer you on WhatsApp. According to suppliers that contacted me, he owes them money. Unfortunately he is a very convincing lier too. Please be aware!!
