From Promising Start to Unacceptable Experience

My experience with this daycare centre started off well, but unfortunately it deteriorated significantly over time. Initially, the staff I was introduced to were professional and reassuring. However, they were no longer present shortly after enrollment—one went on maternity leave and the other never returned—and no proper communication or replacement introduction was provided. The new staff members were not formally introduced, appeared unprofessional, and raised concerns about their qualifications and suitability to care for children. There were also serious concerns regarding the quality of care. The children were frequently fed canned food, which led to my child developing a rash despite having no prior allergies. Additionally, there were instances where children were left in jackets for extended periods, even on very hot days, which raised serious safety concerns. Communication from management was extremely poor. When I requested a meeting to address these issues, it was never arranged. Instead of resolving concerns, they were avoided. Financially, there were also questionable practices. Parents were charged a significant fee for a graduation event that was poorly executed and did not reflect the amount paid. Furthermore, children who were not enrolled in extra mural activities were separated from others, which created an environment of exclusion that I found inappropriate for young children. The situation escalated when I decided to remove my children from the centre. I was told I would not receive my children’s belongings unless I paid for an additional month, despite no clear or signed agreement outlining such a policy. When I attempted to collect their belongings, the situation became hostile. I was physically handled, verbally insulted, and personal information I had shared in confidence during a vulnerable time was used against me. This experience was deeply distressing and completely unprofessional. I strongly advise other parents to exercise caution and thoroughly assess the environment, policies, and management before enrolling their children here.
