Barbaric Hospitality Service

<p>We are global merchandise brokers and just suffered a raw deal due to the global economic slowdown. We had a bad time during the recession and our clients' companies overseas didn't pay us on time. So we fell behind in rent. Finally, we received our client's payment to cover all our arrears but she does not care about waiting for it to clear. Our landlady's establishment is overflowing with ****roaches, bedbugs in the beds, worn and torn beddings, etc with bad service to boot.</p> <p>When you owe your landlady rent (in my case an Indian woman who is a Christian pastor's wife in the East rand) is it right for her to?<br />1. Call you a ****** ape, ******, k*ffer, f*cking idiot, f*cking b*tch, assh*les, sh*t<br />2. Refuse to let you leave so that you can ensure the rent arrears do not accumulate <br />3. Tell you to sell your bodies because you are not good for anything<br />4. Harass you with police officers about 10 times<br />5. Phone you screaming daily that she "wants her f*cking money you f*cking k*ffer b*tch" and shout at you almost everyday in person in front of bystanders while swearing at and abusing you<br />6. Tell you to gas or hang yourself, commit suicide (she said she will buy the ropes for you to hang yourself). <br />7. Say she wishes you can die so that she can give you a paupers' funeral<br />8. Slander, gossip and lie about you to as many people as possible (people told us and we also overheard her when she was not aware)<br />9. She switched off our lights at the peak of winter for 4 months and that delayed our work online. We lost clients globally because we couldn't reach them continuously and time is money, especially abroad. She said she wanted us to starve and said she didn't care if we ate each other's sh*t. She also threatened to turn off the water while she let her other tenants waste electricity and water which they never paid for. This looks like she has a vendetta against us<br />10. She took our IDs and said she would make certified copies but later refused to return them saying she wants her "f*cking money"<br />She does all this and much more. We know she had her right to rent (though we know for a fact that she never pays her own bills even before we rented her property) but we have a right not to be abused verbally and emotionally. If she wanted us gone from her property we would have accepted it since we are not forcing to stay anyways but she insists we stay and pay her money. When our payments reflect we will do cartwheels since this abuse is too much.</p>
