Useless service
I am a pensioner and member for many years and was convinced by my broker to take out medical GAP cover for the unforeseen situation. After many years I submitted a claim for a dental expense not covered by my medical aid. This claim was submitted on 19th October 2023. After a month and an enquiry I was told to fill out their claim form as this is their procedure. I have done and submitted the claim form on 17 November 2023 and enquired by e mail weekly on the status. All I get is a read confirmation (that my e mail was read). Sirago is supposed to be professional and at least communicate to their policy holders, but nothing happens.

Thank you for reaching out. We are truly sorry about the poor feedback from our team and will address this immediately.
However, we want to advise you to talk to your broker to explain the purpose of Gap Cover so that the next time you have a claim, you know exactly what you are covered for under your Sirago policy. Unfortunately, and as a rule of thumb, Gap Cover is not a substitute for medical scheme cover and will not provide cover if your medical scheme does not pay a portion of the medical bill. Additionally, the policy option that you are on does not provide cover for dental procedures done out of hospital.
We are sorry for the frustration that you have experienced in this regard, and we hope to be of better service to you in the future!
Kind regards,
The Sirago Team
