Terrible service and terrible quality!

My grandmother bought a tv 5 years ago. The 5 year warrantee expired this month and the and days later the TV went black. Do they make these TV's only have a 5-year lifespan? Asked for them to please assist us as it is literally days between the expiry and the TV breaking but they just choose to send me a copy and paste message and ignore me further. Terrible service and terrible quality.
