Sinotec Full HD TV not Full HD

After the My Broadband articles about TV sets being mislabelled as Full HD, I decided to test my Sinotec 32" Full HD TV. Model STL-32FD16.

After testing the set using an EDID application, I found that the TV was not capable of Full HD (1080p) resolution. I then made contact with Sinoprima - where I received a one-line apology from the tech rep, Winston, saying that since my TV was a non-smart TV, it could not be Full HD. I pointed out that all the marketing material, stickers etc., said it was and that there was yet to be communications from Sinoprima that only their smart TVs could be Full HD. I was then asked on my testing method and once I provided it, was told to simply test a video via flash drive. After I pointed out that that would prove nothing about the TV's capabilities, I received no further feedback. I have once again requested feedback, but it has been nearly a week since I last received any follow-up.

I feel that this is horrible customer service on top of ********** marketing. I would appreciate it if Sinoprima could provide me the courtesy of proper customer service.
