SINOTEC - AVOID THIS COMPANY AND PRODUCT

<p>I purchased a 50 inch Sinotec LED TV in November 2014 and in July 2016 the screen failed catastrophically. The technicians examined the unit and report that it cannot be repaired. The model has been discontinued and the store (Game) insists on refunding the cash. I can be awarded a replacement unit if I pay the difference to the price of the newer model, which is a substantial amount of money. Sinotec makes very poor quality televisions which are not worth the discount to better quality brands. Their five year warranty is meaningless because their TV’s never last that long, they recycle models quickly and you’re always left out of pocket. All this in addition to uninstalling the TV and the logistics of dealing with the repairers and getting the TV back to the store. And the all the time without a TV which you paid for. Further they are unconcerned with resolving matters in a fair manner and I was astonished at the blasé attitude of their customer services department “Shame. Do whatever you want. Bye.” Clearly they are inundated with calls as a result of the poor quality of their product which results in their callousness in dealing with consumers. I would not advise any person to purchase a Sinotec product. If you are short on cash it would serve you better to purchase a Hisense television – their products are of a similar quality, are comparably priced and their customers services department has a more consumer orientated philosophy. You would not be left stuck with cash that you can do nothing with. I personally would not be in this lamentable position had I paid more attention to the reviews on the internet and went for Hisense, a better brand. Go for Hisense, Sinotec stinks – the product and the customer service. </p>
