Shocking service at Sinotec Service Centre Midrand
I bought a new television from Makro at the end of September 2019. In the last week of November, the television died - the screen was totally black and on permanent standby. I took the TV back to Makro Centurion but was told that it will take about 6 weeks. I was advised to rather take the unit directly to Sinotec in Midrand. I proceeded to do so in the first week of December. After various phone calls to Sinotec, I was informed on Monday, 9 December, that the television was fixed. When I got home and connected the television - it was worse. There was a broad white line on the right hand side of the screen and the "please wait" was so big, it cut off at the bottom. I phoned Sinotec Midrand again on the 10th and was advised that they can only collect it on Friday 13 December. That was done. I phoned on the 17th of December and was told that the television is not even in the workshop yet after I was promised it will be flagged as urgent. This morning I phoned and spoke with the workshop. I was told it should have been repaired by now - really! Then I was informed that the screen is faulty and they do not have spare screens. Now it has to be escalated to some higher person. I want a new television TODAY. Sinotec is closing tomorrow! I repeat I want a new television TODAY!!!!!!!!!!
