Simply Rawmade!..false adverti*****t and Rip - off

Simply Homemade advertises on Facebook about food catering. I met up with the lady, Jen , to cater for my mom's 60th birthday party. See seemed well organized and it sounded like she was in the catering business for years. I decided to place an order with her as her food and cake looked irresistible on the face book pics. I ended up giving her the order on food and cake including the birthday cake. She quoted me just under R10 000 of which I paid her a R5000 deposit immediately and paid the balance off as she claimed a lot of her customers does it this way..Jen was suppose to cater for 140 people.

I ordered: 3x Combo's ( which was suppose to consist of leg & Thigh chicken, pastries, small meat ***** and fancies + cold drink.

13 th of July came ..my food was delivered in bits and pieces and very late, pastry fillings was not what I've ordered and some was raw, fancies were all ****tail sizes - did not even match the pictures as advertised. Chicken was small wings and thigh -thingh was still cut into 2 pieces. The birthday cake was the ultimate disaster... Party started without the birthday cake...By the time the party started , our guests waited for 2hrs already!I had send my husband to collect the birthday cake and he ended up waiting for over an hour! I was sooo embarrassed for keeping the guest that long without starting the party.

The food that I paid for was not even enough ...and some people did not pitch??

My aunts who helped me with the set up of the party were disgusted with the food and cake and made no secret about letting me know

Following day, the birthday cake looked like it was falling apart! As we took out the 60 sign that was used as decoration on the cake, we saw that this cake was still raw. I contacted Jen ***) but she did not answer her phone. Left her a WhatsApp messages about my disappointment. Sunday evening after 6 she sent me an sms from a other telephone number *** -stating that she was out all day without her phone and that she will deal with the complains later the week but needed the chauffing dishes as it was hired. Her dad collected and had the odasity to ask me why the stuff was not delivered as he had to get out of his bed to collect the stuff..

Jen and I liaised via sms and she even said that my bank details will be in order for any reimbur*****ts...Think she only said that to get the chauffing dishes... The Monday she sent me an sms to tell me that her and her dad will have to go over the complete order and will take it to their lawyer the Thursday- 18/07/2019 and will have the lawyer doing the final recon I rep**** and said that she must have her lawyer contact me so that I do not have to liaise with her directly and if I am not happy with the outcome of her lawyer than I will seek advise from a lawyer myself.

Today, 30 July 2019... still had no feed back from Jen or her lawyer and she blocked my cell number

This is ****************!!! The lady comes across as Godly yet she specializes in *********** people!!!
