Bad business practice

I saw an advert on Marketplace for leopard print cushion covers in the typical colours of a leopard ie. black + gold. I fell in love with them and made contact with Heather, the owner of the business. Although they were R350 each excluding cushion inners, because it was plush velvet I was prepared to pay the price. I placed my order for 2 x cushion covers and paid the deposit of R350 as requested. About a week later I got a message to say they were ready. I did an immediate EFT of R350 being the balance and went to collect from her in Durban North. As she handed me the product I immediately said 'this is not the colour I ordered'. They were black and grey. She insisted that that was the advertised product. I showed her the online photo and was told 'that is what happens when you shop online'. I wasn't at all impressed but agreed to take them home to try them with my lounge suite but they did not 'work' at all. I messaged her for a refund and was told that she 'does not do refunds'. I returned the cushions to her the next day. She eventually acquiesced to refund me half saying she was doing me a 'favour', and the balance once she had sold these covers. She is still INSISTENT that I was provided with exactly what I ordered. I then had to ask twice in order to get my half refund which I believe was done most reluctantly. I have since posted on my personal facebook page for other opinions, thinking that perhaps it was just me being difficult. Every single comment made it clear that there was a huge discrepancy between the published photo and what I received. I just feel it my responsibility to advise others to be wary of online purchases. Check the returns and refund policy. #WIN. I will definitely not be doing business with Heather in the future.
