Simon Fisher Construction .... fishy business

If any one is considering appointing a contractor please think twice and hard about Simon Fisher Construction.

The owner of this business comes across as professional, knowledgeable and ethical.... he will even tell you his intention is do things right and proper and to save you money - but in our experience this has not been the case. At the end we had to act as a mediator between the contractor and sub contractors....

We saw the owner, Simon Fisher once - when he came to do the quote and later had to deal with his (inexperienced) project manager who became know to us as Ashley. .. who constantly reminded us that we had signed a contract with Simon Fisher construction... we was just there to see the work gets done... and had constant problems with Mr Fisher not paying him.

On top of that Simon Fisher Construction will not provide you with correct itemized pricing and later claimed that certain works fall outside you quote and you will be liable to pay additions. We were also told that items not covered by the quote was recovered from other items "quoted for" ( which they will not do) .

We appointed this company on on 05 August 2018 to repair damages to our roof and to date some work is still incomplete.

We were also advised by a sub contractor of this company of failures to pay them to which we had to intervene... basically begging Mr Simon Fisher to pay the sub contractor what was due to them....

At the end of the day we learned a valuable lesson.... PLEASE BE WEARY OF COMPANIES THAT COME ACROSS AS PROFESSIONAL AND ETHICAL... NOT ALL IS WHAT IT SEEMS AND IN THE CASE OF SIMON FISHER CONSTRUCTION THIS IS ABSOLUTELY TRUE....

Still however its sad how companies take advantage of clients trusting and accommodating nature...
