Sly sneaky Simba (REF17-07-2017)
My wife bought a few large packets of Simba chips. The following day, I was about to open the one packet when I realized that the pack was noticeably empty. We weighed the packet and discovered that it was less than half the 125gr it should have been. My wife contacted the Simba Call Centre and was told that they would log the complaint. They would also send her a voucher. She told the consultant that we would keep the packet so that they can collect it. He told her not to keep the packet, but rather to consume it. She asked if they need it as proof of the complaint. Not necessary he insisted, we may consume it. About a month or so later, we received a letter from Simba advising that they have these amazing checks and audits in place to ensure that all their packages are dispatched with the advertised products at the correct capacity. They advise that they are not able to properly investigate without the ALLEGED NON CONFORMING product sample. A very sly tactic indeed. Insist the customer disposes of the evidence. Wait 4 weeks and then say sorry, you have no evidence, but thanks for your money.
