Plastic in my BBQ chips

On 6 March I was travelling long distance with my family and bought my 4year old a large packet of BBQ chips. Luckily my oldest son was with this time because he found my small son with a rather large piece of plastic thing in hes mouth with had come out of the chips. Who knows what would have happened on the road if he had been alone in the back of the car! I got home and emailed SIMBA with a picture of the plastic thing and have still to date not heard anything from them. How long should it take to hear from these big companies?
