MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT

<p>About a month and a half ago, at 5:05pm the Simba delivery truck which was towing a double axle trailer had just finished with a delivery at Boxer Mokopane. As the truck was exiting the parking lot and turning right onto the main road, the trailer unhinged and came straight towards my Ford Ranger bakkie which was parked in front of my business. The trailer crashed into the right hand side load bin panel. Luckily i was still busy in my shop and had not gone home otherwise the trailer wouldve been through the front of my shop. I went outside and questioned the driver as to what had happened, he told me that he had been complaining about the faulty tow bar and that nothing has been done about it. We then drove to the Mokopane police station to fill out and accident report, case no. : AR114/05/2016. The next day i contacted the manager of the Simba Polokwane branch Mr Andre Landman to inform him of the situation he told me to get quotes from panelbeaters. I emailed him two quotes, and he said he would hand the matter over to his insurance department. I have been in contact with him on a weekly basis,and he said he is still waiting for feedback from his supervisors. Last week i called him and told him that the quotes were valid for 30 days and when they decide to fix my vehicle i will not be held responsible for any extra costs. I am still waiting for a response.</p>
