Misleading Website and Quality Unacceptable

I purchased one of the 14kt Gold Vermeil plated rings for my daughters birthday. I was so disappointed when i received it. The pictures on the website are so misleading. The stones are so tiny. You can hardly see them. The ring started tarnishing after 3 weeks even though care was taken to take it off when washing hands etc . I was told by the customer service department that quote " A person with a high skin pH level can experience the fading of plating within just one hour of use whilst a person with a low skin pH level will almost never experience fading" This should be placed on the website. To warn people with high acidity if that' s the case. Just shows how bad the plating is if it can happen within one hour. The company did offer to take the ring back and they would remove the plating and return the ring to silver however it would be at my own cost to send it to them and then to return the ring will also be at my own cost. So, I now have to spend an extra R350.00 for postage for an item that cost R1600.00 that looks nothing like it does in the picture and has tarnished. They should just stick to silver and not offer the plating option! The ring is so thin that you can't even see the engraving on the inside. I have realised that they offer this service free of charge so that when you want to return it because it is not of great quality or there is a problem they say that it has been personalised therefore they cannot offer a refund.
