Sikhululekile High School :Urgent Concern Regarding Reception Staff Conduct

Dear Principal's

I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding the conduct of two reception staff members who answered the school’s phone today.

When I first called to ask about the time of the aptitude test, the lady who answered the phone went silent after I explained my inquiry. I asked if she was still there, and she rep**** loudly. I explained that her response came across as rude, and she said it was because I kept saying “hello.” I clarified that I only did so because she had not responded, and that it would be courteous to say “please hold” if she was looking for information. She then hung up on me.

I called back immediately, and a different lady answered. I politely asked for the principal’s name so I could raise my concern, but instead of providing it, she asked who I was. I asked how that was relevant, since I only wanted the principal’s name. She then also hung up on me.

I find this treatment by public servants unacceptable, especially in a school setting. I request that this matter be addressed as a matter of urgency and that appropriate steps be taken to ensure respectful communication with parents and community members.

I would appreciate a response confirming receipt of this complaint and outlining what actions will be taken.
