SIDE STEP DAYYLIGHT *******!!

On the 27.08.2021 i bought my son a pair of Ellese that was marked down from R70000 to R500.00 at Side Step Seastrand mall. My son wore those shoes once in September and twice in October and the Ellese name was coming off. One Friday after work i went past Side Step and told them about the item, one of the staff said i must bring the shoes with a slip and im not the only one complaining about the same item and brand, he said i must bring it back its factory fault. on Friday 26.11.2021 took the shoes to the shop, to my surprise they refused to refund or exchange they said the manager says no i must take this up with Head office because this was bought longtime ago. I must admit i did cause a scene on a black Friday and i know for a fact that some customers left the shop before buying as we were arguing. I didn't meant to but i was so angry It wasn't easy for me to accept that. On Monday the 29.11.2021 i called head office, they say they cannot help me because the item was on on sale "policy of the company says item bought on sale cannot be exchanged or refunded, ridiculous! i couldn't believe what my ears heard. What a contradiction at the shop they said shoes cannot be refunded or exchanged because it was bought longtime ago. HelloPeter team please assist me this is ****************. they are selling ****. i have never heard that if an item is on sale , you are not allowed to exchange or get a refund. imagine someone buying torn shoes on sale and told company policy says no refund or exchange. Side Step is a ****. This shop must be closed down really, we don't need such retailers in the country, They are taking an advantage of other people hard earned money , people are without jobs due to Covid and they are busy selling these **** items, I always buy original shoes for my kids so that it can last for years and don't have to buy the same thing over and over again. So frustrating now i have to buy my son another pair of tekkies , where will i get money for that. I wish everyone can be advised to run as far as possible away from SIDE STEP. So heartless poor quality, customer service..... . Shoes should still look good and new even after a year especially if its original.
