RUDENESS OF STAFF , POOR SERVICE AND INCOMPETENCE

I bought two pair of sneakers at Side Step at Sammy Marks. Out of the two sneakers one was small, I then decided to go and exchange them at Side Step (Forest Hill). Upon arrival I did explain myour story and requested exchange, I was told that there were no longer sizes.

I then suggested that I be given anything for R549.99 so that the child can be able to wear as it's Christmas tomorrow. I chose some ellese sneakers which were less by R100 as they said there are no longer sizes 12 . I was told to choose anything for R100 which I believe that was not fair ,they went on as far as dictating that I take masks or socks which I believe they were not part of my plan.

A guy who said his name is Arnold said they'd not be able to refund as that would cost them from their pocket which came as surprise to me. He later told me follow him to Studio 88 and to be honest I'm not sure as to what was that about! We then came back to Side Step where he told me that he's going to do refund of which I agreed as it was going to enable another purchase. He suddenly went back to the story of taking something to cover that amount of the initial price, which I totally disagreed again.

He said he's been very patient with me , in the first those sneakers were not bought from their shop. I then asked him if those side steps are not one shop? He's answer that" yes it's one shop " . He went on as far as saying he's been listening to me so now it's his turn he said he was "I'm now fighting " , my question was "whom?" . He said he's fighting with me , he went on as far as saying that I should take the sneakers to where I bought it, which I did left the shop to buy another shoes in order for the child to look nice on Christmas.

According to the shop reternal policy on their receipt, it says:

Returns only accepted: -Upon presentation of the original invoice; -Within 30 days for unused goods - in original condition and packaging.
