Refund for services not rendered

Showusa is a trade union, supposedly assisting workers and their rights, I went to them for help against my former employer for unfair dismissal, I was told to pay a fee of R1500.00 as well as R300 in order not to stand in long lines at labour department with my UI19. Due to the constant poor service received from the organization I decided not to go with them for representation as they misrepresented what they really stand for in failing me as a vulnerable worker. I then asked for a refund and was told that there were no refund as I cancelled. I would like for them to reimburse the money I paid (R1800.00) in total for which no services were rendered
