Unauthorized debit order Showmax

I am so unhappy with Showmax that keeps taking monies out of my account every month, in spite of having canceled the account. I no longer have access to Showmax but monies keep disappearing from my account. I interacted with them but now I'm tired of their empty promises. My bank says that the only way to stop this is to close my bank account and open a new one. What gives!!!
