Showmax/Multichoice is why we can't have nice things.

Showmax is a cheap streaming site, but wish there was a real South African competitor for Showmax. Prime Video is almost in par with Showmax, both have a bunch of show to watch, but both lacks the functionality. Netflix will always top both these steaming platforms for it's shows and functionality.

Showmax is easy to install on your device and easy to run on your computer, however it is terrible at registering your devices to your account. If you only watch on your PC and you decide to clean your PC from unwanted files and invalid Windows Registry entries, and you decide to run Showmax again on the PC, then it will register your PC as a new device, in other words, it will show you have two devices registered on Showmax instead of one.

What makes Showmax unique over Prime video is that Showmax is very politically. Anything that offends the crybaby CEO of Multichoice will have their movies and shows removed.

Multichoice and Showmax does not care about their customers and they are the reason why you can't view your favorite movies and series on Netflix and Prime Video. So you have to purchase a VPN in order to watch shows on Netflix and Prime video that Multichoice and SABC won't allow in South Africa.

So if you like your local soapies, movies & sport, then Showmax is for you.... except if you like Leon Schuster movies, the forget about it.
