Showmax False Promise

I received a mail on 8 December 2020 from Showmax - LAST CHANCE! Get 50% off Showmax. Deal ends 11 Dec 2020. On 9 December 2020 I decided to take up the special and I clicked on the "Restart now and get 50% off" banner. This was a short cut to y previous account which I reactivate and submit banking details. To my surprise I receive no discount and the normal monthly fee was debited. I interacted with a Sharon on the Help site of Showmax and the final feedback was "I have double checked your account, and it shows that you did not pay for the promotion to activate it, therefore it was not effective hence you are now been debited the normal price of R99 Thank you for contacting Live Chat. If that's all for today, have a great day further" This is clearly false advertising to lure customers back without giving them the promotional benefit as promised per mail. I will definitely cancel and never make use of them ever again,
