New seasons of Afrikaans shows not available locally
It doesn't seem that showmax releases the new seasons of locally produced shows onto showmax. These seasons are available to international subscribers, but not for south African subscribers. Upon enquiry the person at showmax stated that the seasons will become available once they have finished airing on south African television. Most have finished airing a long time ago and are not even available for viewing on dstv catchup anymore. Please can you give an eta on the following shows' second seasons in showmax (as customer support couldn't): hotel, Sara se geheim, and boekklub (all season 2). Thank you,.

Not always a straightforward answer. It is correct in saying that we cannot broadcast shows which are currently aired on existing paid TV packages. Once completed, all the back end negotiations come into play.
With that said, we are looking to add Die Boekklub S2 in this month :) and Sara Se Geheim S2 in the coming months.
Some good news, Hotel S2 has been published today and is available for you to enjoy :)
