Don't Bother if you're not living in South Africa

As a ugandan, I'm very very annoyed.

There should be a page explaining the methods of payments for each country in Africa. I live in Uganda but have a Canadian credit card. Therefore my catalogue options are restricted. This makes no sense since other streaming networks don't even work this way. As long as your IP address is accessed in a particular country, you can watch the shows of that country. For example, if I travel to the US, I can watch US netflix, London - London netflix, Canada - Canadian netflix, Uganda - Ugandan netflix. I am not limited by my method of payment with other streaming networks.

Consequently, I do not have a Ugandan credit card and now I am unable to watch anything besides the few shows available to me. DSTV also doesn't even work or allow signups.

I also encourage Showmax to train your customer service so that they are well versed in your company policies. I've reached out for a span of 2 days with no assistance, just to be told after a 30 minute live chat that they thought I was from Kenya. No where did anyone ask where I was from (I did say Uganda yesterday), which could have saved me 30 minutes of my time. Only Kenya has access to more payment options, not Uganda.

As you can imagine, I am very frustrated after being so excited that Africa had a streaming network. I will be telling those who I shared this network with not to bother until changes have been made. Sad because it seems to have a lot going for it.
