The worst train ride experience I have ever had!

We traveled to Cape Town on the 18th March from Johannesburg station. We were on the train for just over an hour when the train broke down. After waiting for more than 3 hours for the train to be repaired, we left again. The following morning we were told that we should rather take a bus from Beaufort West as the train was going to take too long to get to Cape Town. Against our will, we had to take a bus which took as 6 more hours to get to Cape Town. The bus ride was very unpleasant and we were only allowed to stop to go to the toilet once out of all the 6 hours! The service on the train was also disgusting. The restaurant staff did not even give us cutlery or napkins or glasses when we had our lunch. They said that they do not have enough cutlery and crockery. What??? We took the train back again from Cape Town to Johannesburg on the 25th March. The train was filthy inside. The train broke again on the way and we waited 10 more hours before we moved again. We were given the option to take the bus again but we refused. The food in the restaurant was revolting and we could not eat it. We need a refund for the inconvenience we had as it was the worst experience ever!
